|Alexandra Kingston started as a TV actress appearing in several English drama programs, including "The Knock", "Crocodile Shoes", and "Moll Flanders". However, what brought her to national attention was her portrayal of Elizabeth Corday in the NBC TV award-winning medical drama series "ER". After her stint with "ER", Alexandra moved on to doing movies, essaying various roles in such films as "The Cook, The Thief, His Wife & Her Lover" (1989), and "Croupier" (1998). Again, what proved to be her greatest role, though, was that of Boudica, the Brythonic Celtic queen who led her people in a revolt against Roman Empire tyranny in the 2003 epic film, "Boudica (Warrior Queen in the USA)". The year 2006 saw Alexandra trying her hand in the stage scene, this time as Nurse Ratched in the classic play, "One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest" opposite film actor Christian Slater. That same year, Alexandra said in an interview that she tried to re-enter the TV world via a plum role on the ABC drama "Desperate Housewives", but never got the part because the producers of the show considered her too curvy.||
