| Born in a well-to-do family on October 6, 1963 in Wilmington, Delaware, Elisabeth Shue is an Academy award-nominated actress best known for her prostitute role in "Leaving Las Vegas." Before becoming an actress, elisabeth was a political science student in Harvard University. While studying, elisabeth found a way to make extra money by doing TV commercials for numerous products, including Hellman's mayonnaise and DeBeers diamonds. elisabeth landed her first movie role with "Karate Kid," and since then, had appeared in a series of movies like "Cocktail," "Adventures in Babysitting," "The Marrying Man," and "Soapdish." She also starred in the two "Back to the Future" sequels, replacing Claudia Wells as the new Jennifer Parker. Elisabeth was supposed to appear in "Number 23," a suspense movie starring Jim Carrey, but her pregnancy caused her to lose the role to Virginia Madsen. At present, elisabeth spends most of her time with husband, Davis Guggenheim and their three kids, Miles, Stella, and Agnes Charles. |
