|Famke Beumer Janssen, born on November 5, 1965 in the Netherlands is a famous Dutch actress and also a former fashion model. In 1984 she went to the United States and became a fashion model. Elite Model Management signed her, and she modelled for huge brands such as Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, and Victoria's Secret. She studied writing and literature at Columbia University. Janssen got her first acting assignments when she moved to LA. She guested in TV series like Star Trek: The Next Generation and Melrose Place. Her first film project was 'Fathers & Sons' in 1992 with Jeff Goldblum. She later played the femme fatale Xenia Onatoppin in the James Bond movie, GoldenEye, starring Pierce Brosnan. She made eight movies in 1998. She played the role of Dr. Jean Grey/Phoenix in the X-Men movie series: X-Men, X2, and X-Men: The Last Stand. Janssen also appeared in the films 'Lord of Illusions', I Spy, The Faculty, Rounders, House on Haunted Hill, and Deep Rising. She also played the scheming and seductive Ava Moore in the TV series Nip/Tuck.||
