|Gina Gershon was born on June 10, 1962 in Los Angeles, California to parents are Stan Gershon and Mickey Koppel who are of Jewish heritage. She went to Beverly Hills High School with Lenny Kravitz, and the two remain as close friends. Gershon is thought of as a gay icon because of her roles in movies such as 'Bound', in which she played Corky, a butch lesbian and 'Showgirls' as Cristal Connors, which is considered a camp classic. She was ranked number 51 on the Maxim Hot 100 Women of 2004. Gershon played Jew's harp on 'I Can't Decide', a song on the Scissor Sisters' 2006 release, 'Ta-Dah'. Gershon had a stint in the starring role of 'Sally Bowles' in the award-winning 1998 revival of 'Cabaret' on Broadway. (2006); Kettle of Fish (2006) as Ginger; and Delirious (2007). Gershon has dated hotel owner Shawn McPherson, wealthy entrepreneur Jay Penske as well as actors John Cusack and Owen Wilson.||
