James King bio
An American actress and one of the country's top models, James King is often referred to by the press as the "model with a man's name." This was because the modeling agency she signed on had another James, and she knew that it would not be easy to stand out if you have a similar name with a more famous model. Born in Omaha, Nebraska on April 23, 1979, James' modeling career begun when she was only 14 years old. She was spotted during her graduation fashion show and she was convinced to drop out from school in order to try her hand at professional modeling. James appeared among the pages of Seventeen, Harper's Bazaar, Glamour, Allure, Mademoiselle, and Vogue. Aside from these, she also modeled the creations of Christian Dior and Chanel for the runway. Her pretty face helped her become a commercial model as well, and her work included advertisements for Armani Exchange, Coach, Bebe, and Revlon. In 1998, James, together with Rebecca Romjin, hosted MTV's House of Style, a series that dealt with popular fashion. Her acting credits include Happy Campers, Pearl Harbor, Bulletproof Monk, Sin City, and Cheaper by the Dozen 2.
